Sockeye (Red) Salmon (June - July)
Flight Time: 25 minutes by floatplane
Trip Route: Fly west across Cook Inlet to the base of the Alaska Range. Fishing area is located where a small stream flows into a large lake. Water is usually very clear and the fish can be seen in large schools close to shore. This is a fly-fishing only area and the limit is 3 fish per person. This trip is a favorite not only because of the great fishing, but it is an excellent place to view brown bears. Sightseeing is superior along the route for brown bears, moose, seals, etc.
Allow for 4 to 6 hours of fishing time, boats are provided. This trip is fully guided.
